If your pump is buzzing or humming, it could possibly be a capacitor or jammed.
If your pump is turning off and on frequently for less than 1-2 minutes, you will have a leak on the discharge line (more than likely a toilet). Isolate the toilet at the tap and see if the pump holds pressure.
To check disconnect from power and try turning the back fan on the motor. If it is free to turn, it is the capacitor - we can fix this. Bring the pump in and get it inspected.
